White Ford Trucks

Men with big bellies

Ringing in my ears

The buffeting of fans/steady ticking noises

Someone tickling my feet

Someone grabbing my wrist

Someone pinching my butt

Loud footsteps

Men in bootcut jeans

Someone continuing to do something - anything - after I have said "stop."

Coors Light

The phrase "I don't have a problem with it."

A marijuana high

Certain Depeche Mode songs

Sexist comments, particularly in which a woman is sexualized

Someone rubbing my shoulders from behind

One Deadmau5 song

Incredibly light touches on my legs (if my boyfriend is more intentional with his touches it causes no problems. It is only this feather-light, almost fearful touch.)

Many of these things I have worked on, and now only cause a bit of alarm before I can regain composure. About half of these things still cause panic attacks, or uncontrollable anger where I'll fight, yell, and thrash in an attempt to hit someone. I'm not sure where some of these triggers came from - and the ones I'm unsure about are largely the ones that cause the most problems for me still.

I don't know about "weird" ones but I have some standard ones. They're standard to me at least.

I don't think I have any from the actual molestation becaise I've repressed most of that. But I remember much of the environment and events around it or afterwards.

When Hawaii comes up in conversation, especially Oahu (where it happened)

The movie Mommy Dearest (it was on TV and we watched it briefly around the time it happened)

When I get a kiss on the back of the head especially unexpectedly and repeatedly (precursor to the molestation)

Loft condos or apartments, the kind where the bedroom is up some stairs but has no door or a closed wall so you can look down into the living room below

Family pictures that he is in

My grandma's house and the front entrance way

6th grade

When someone refers to him

The notebook I have that I wrote in while in Hawaii

Usually when I'm triggered I just try to push the thought away and think of something else. Except when I find old family pictures. Those I delete. They piss me off.

mall music (music played in dept stores in the 90's)

Wow, I feel weird listing all of these. I've never listed them before. I feel guilty.

Words that pertain to things that I went through. It can be as simple as one word.

When men get in my personal space. I can only handle my husband and son's touch.

When people say just get over it. It unlocks the door and everything will come flying out at once.

Bees, snakes, spiders. Long mirrors that can be nailed to the wall. Trash trucks.

Tall, muscular men with Sandy blond hair.

Women with long platinum blond hair.

Certain body positions.

I love dogs but large ones can start a flash back. When I see animals humping each other.
