Dear Precious Soul
Kahlil Gibran, in 'The Prophet', says that our children come not from us, but through us.
This means that we all come from the same light. It means that you, dear one, are a child of light.
You are to no degree responsible for the actions of your biological father, neither are they a reflection on who you are. How could they be, beautiful? You are uniquely you; somebody worthy and wonderful, you are not defined by ugliness.
I am so sorry the acts of another have scarred you too. How I wish I could take that undeserved pain away from you! You are innocent, completely innocent and a creation of beauty. I am glad you are here, so glad; your presence and place in the world is enriching; a world without you in it would be poorer.
Please don't regret your existence. I don't.
Know that there is a mother here whose heart overflows for you; overflows with pride and love and joy that you are here. I wouldn't swap you being here for anything.
My most cherished hope is that you will come to see the beauty I see - if you looked through my eyes, you would love you too.
I value you.
