Jurassic Park one and two. The bathroom fan. City inspections and landlords. Pressure. People telling me what I should do or what I have to do, criticism, unhelpful professors, therapists and counsellors, having a low income, the neighbor who keeps trying to let us know that he wants us to move so that his daughter can move in our apartment, and that he's a buddy of the landlord, the landlord moving my plants on the patio to see if that would cause us to leave I think.

I've not been exposed to much since it first happened so the only ones I've noticed is I don't like my doorbell going off, my phone going off or leaving the house while its light out. I kinda want to get out unseen and get on with going to the shop and get back quick.

Hello anonymousmale93,

I can relate to wanting to get out unseen, I think that you are very brave for sharing here.

Take gentle care

  • I hate being touched when I'm not expecting it. Especially from just below my armpits to my hips. I jump out of my skin, practically, even if it's my spouse. And if it's from behind, I practically jump. I've nearly hit people before just out of reflex.
  • Leaving my house if neighbors are outside. Coming home and walking into the house from the car if any neighbors are outside. I feel really vulnerable then.
  • Public restrooms, especially stand-up urinals where I have my back facing the room. A stall-type toilet, especially if someone is in the next stall.
  • Locker rooms at the gym; changing clothes there.
  • Pumping gasoline.
  • Really quiet, introverted men.
  • Being told what to do. Even if the other person is right.

I'm not sure how many of these are weird. But they're mine.

My weird triggers. Don't quite seem as weird anymore, knowing I'm not alone. I have just been reading through everyone's posts & I love the fact that someone started this site. Makes things a little easier.

Anyone touching or grabbing at my neck & shoulders
Men touching my hair
Confrontation of any sort
Giving a man oral sex
People making molestation jokes
Older men
Swallowing medication
