These are my psychiatric diagnoses. It looks like a train wreck when I type it out.

Just remember that these are labels to describe intrapsychic processes. They are human constructs used to describe certain personality traits or behaviors. If someone operated on your brain, there is nowhere your surgeon could point to and say, "Look, there's the borderline personality disorder". The point to remember is that you have these things because of the sexual abuse you experienced and that they do not define you and are not necessarily permanent. Things like PTSD, BPD and DID will require work, but it's not like you can't live a happy life if you have those things. This is not to make light of your predicament, but often people think all they are is the sum total of their problems. Think of it this way... if you had a runny nose, a fever and an upset stomach, you could list those out too and say that that's you. But there is so much more. Hope that helps.
