1. I'm a middle child. I thought I was the oldest until I was about 7 and my mom told me I had an older brother in Jamaica.

2. After my brother came to Canada, my brothers bonded, making me feel like the third wheel: I always feel left out in groups or threesomes, which is why I'd hate to be asked in a sexual one.

3. I found out that my dad isn't my real dad when I was 18, and that my real dad is a teacher, or by now a principle of a school somewhere in Winnipeg.

4. I was molested by 2 male babysitters, when one night, one of them wanted to take me upstairs and I bitched him out and he never touched me again. The other one, his brother or cousin, tried to undress me in my sleep but because I wouldn't let him, faked a crying session to let me. I told him to get out and he never touched me again. I'd totally forgotten about this episode until I was 15 and saw a segment on some newsshow, which sent a flood of memories coming back.

5. Our family has moved 5 times, I've been to 4 elementary schools(failed grade 4), 2 Jr.Highs, one high school, several acting school, a modelling school, took piano lessons and a jazz dance class.

6. I got my ears pierced when I was 7 because my first friend had hers done when she was 2.

7. I took piano lessons because the same friend who got her ears pierced at 2 also took piano. I quit after I did badly at a piano recital, but really quit when told I was up for another one.

8. In grade 7, when I was telling my new friend about how much fun I was having in drama class, she said, "Well, have you ever considered becoming an actor?" to which I had an epiphany right there and knew that's what I wanted to do.

9. I've only been to Jamaica 2x: when I was 7 and met my older brother for the first time, and when I was 16, being grossed out by the men hitting on me.

10.When I was in grade 1, this girl had a hole in her crotch and that got me excited. I begged and pleaded to see it again, but she just gave me a frightened look.

11. My younger brother is stronger than me, so I use to wrestle with my older skinnier brother for fun.

12.For a fleeting moment, I thought I was a transsexual, several years ago, until I realized that if I were born a guy, my gender wouldn't matter. Sometimes it still doesn't.

13.I was raped on December 25, 1997, from a friend that saw me with my girlfriend dancing at a lesbian bar. Our mutual friends stood up for him and thought I was a threat to him.

14.I've only fainted 2x in my life: when I was an office temp, and this large copier machine was giving out an odorless gas that knocked me out, and again when I was at a nude beach and I was taking zoloft and hadn't eaten all day. Before I fainted in the last one, I was about to order a taco at 'Taco Buff' when the sun got too hot.

15.I've been on welfare several times, stood in the food bank line-up, gone to soup kitchens and had coffee for 25 cents.

16.I use to be afraid of dogs and cats when I was little until I got over cats around age 6, then after I became a vegan, I loved dogs.

17.In the last place I lived in, there was a serious roach and mice problem. There was also a couple of murders outside my window, but I didn't witness them.

18.I've had sex with 17 men and 5 women, and one of the women became a transsexual male. 2 of the men were bisexual.

58.I became a vegan when I was 27. I was coughing to the point of feeling strangled, and the doctor took some x-rays and said, "Well, you don't have cancer or tb, but there's something in there". So he told me to avoid: Pork, Dairy, Eggs, Peanut Butter and Seafood. I don't miss seafood at all, but I eventually decided to become a vegan and my doctor advised some books for me to read.

My name is Haullie Free. Some people pronounce my name like (Holly) but it's not, it's promounced like (Hallie). I've had about 100 people in my life ask me "Is that like Hallie Berry?" LMAO! I was named after an Indian Grandmother of mine that this is the way the Shoshoni's spell it. Oftentimes people ask me if I made up my last name. truth is, I was born with it. I guess you could humourosly say I was BORN FREE! haha! Though I am married now with a new name, I still use my Maiden name Free for safety reasons on-line when I do public work. I don't want to put my married name in any harms way if you know what I mean.

I'm married to a wonderful man named Robert. He's a Correctional Guard Officer so yep, he stuff them rapists and murderers into their cells every night and doesn't take sheot from nobody. He's tough, yet he's sensitive to my needs. I have never met a man truly like Robert before. He's wonderfully caring and he always knows what I need out of life. He's nurturing and a great listening. I consider myself so lucky. What did I do to deserve a love like this?

I have a cat named Cole, He goes by many nick names...Baby Love, Baby of sweet love, Rolly Poley Coley, Little life, Little love of life, Little love of sweet life, Father Cole (because he has one white patch on his front neck so he looks like he's wearing a priest's collar LOL). I love to sing to my cat, in fact I sing to him almost every time I see him. I pick him up, we cuddle, what can I say...he's my baby! I call him my child.

I'm a survivor of too many things...Sexual abuse, rape, sexual association trauma, domestic violence...and you know what? They didn't kill MY spirit! My abusers range from a former step-father back in 1991 who raped me in the bathroom of our small apartment while my Mother was in jail for drug posession. He was also consistantly physically abusive to my Mother and myself. I had an aunt who was horribly abusive physically and verbally. For years I used to wonder if my new name was "stupid little bitch". I suffered many bloody attacks from the hands of those I thought loved me. When I was finally free from them, instinct led me to the hands of another abuser, my ex husband, who was not the most terrible person on the face of the plent...but he still abused me and for along time I was blinded by it because he used God as his excuse. I also suffered from a second rape after meeting a man on-line and going back to his place back in 1999 after I left my ex. I rarely talk about it to this day.[/b]

I'm an active advocate for survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence. I have many up-coming projects I am doing to help bring awareness about this issue to the public to better help dispell the conspiracy of silence that surrounds all of us. I am currently working on an audio documentary called 'Voices of Strength' in which a couple members from Pandy's and 'After Silence' forums will be joining me on. I am also working on a Survivor Zine in the future to help survivors touch base with what is going on in the world and how much society is trying it's hardest to make THE difference in the lives of others, because every story deserves to be heard.

As for my looks well, okay...I'm tall! I'm 5'8 which I consider to be pretty tall for me. I'm a healthy size 14 and damn proud of it. I have curly brown hair that I have to take a blow tryer and a round comb to if I want it to be strait. So I'm jealous of anyone who was born with strait hair. You have it good! I have brown eyes, sometimes people tell me I'm "full of shit." In which case I cannot help but just laugh at. I love silly stupid humor and always try to make people laugh when I can, hardy har har!

I'm a crafty fanatic. I am always offering my services to people who need bracelets, painted boxes, drawings, even graphic art. I love to express myself graphically and craftily! The best feeling in the world is being able to share that gift with others. An even better feeling is knowing some of the crafts I do make wonderful birthday and christmas presents. There's nothing like something homemade.

I'm a nail biter and a joint cracker. Nuff said! God please keep me from doing this! yikes! My nails are so bad people call me "stubs" LOL! Okay I guess that is funny!

I love the smell of candles after blowing them out! They need to bottle that smell in an aerisol spray.

I can't watch triggering movies unless I am prepared days in advance, and I cannot watch them in the same room with people without thinking, "Oh God, they know I'm the survivor in the room, they're gonna start staring at me...just leave me alone!"

I'm a neat freak, every day my house has to be straitened up, dishes must be done, husband's lunches and dinners must be prepared for work in advance because he leaves for work at 2:00pm and doesn't get home until 10:00pm so I pack his dinners before work so he can heat them up at work. Before then I make sure I make him lunch before he leaves and sometimes I ook his breakfast depending on how tired I am in the morning. I like to know I am taking care of my husband as much as he takes care of me.

I oftentimes wonder why people think they know me more than I know myself. I've had many so called friends and family relatives in my life judge me, even to the point of self diagnosing some kind of odd mental illness out of thin air that has nothing to do with me personally, which I find halariously penile and petty. I know what I'm going through, oftentimes when I am judged...I try not to take it personally, that only tells me that there's something about them they may need to work on and I have nothing to do with it personally, I'm just the kid other kids throw stones at. Truth is, no one is my therapist except for my therapist. Which by the way is another point to bring up, I am not going to therapy because I just moved into this little town in California where the therapists are far from reach. Yet I've found a friend (from Pandy's) who is helping me get into a support group for survivors. who would have thought! It's amazing.

I'm a reality show junkie, that includes American Idol, Survivor, Celebrity Fit Club, and anything else I can get my hands on! HAHA!

Sometimes I have to leave in order to come back.
