weird question what does 'T' mean?

I see 'T' around but i'm not really sure what it means could someone please explain? sorry if its in the wrong spot

Hi DarkAngelGirl

It can mean a couple of different things. T can stand for therapist or therapy, but *T* can also stand for 'trigger'. It really depends on the context.

It's not a weird question hon it's important that you ask if you dont know or understand something you see on the board or in chat

so i found this acryonm thing in one of the fourms it really helped me out, i hope it does the same for you. :)/> -allie

(((your_name_here))) = Someone is giving you a hug.

*t* = triggering

T = Therapist (some people are triggered by the word)
*note: many members use *t* and T interchangeably, so look to the context to determine meaning.

P-doc, pdoc = Psychiatrist

SA, S/A = Sexual abuse or sexual assault

CSA = Child sexual abuse

SRA / RA = Satanic Ritual Abuse, Ritual Abuse

ED = eating disorder

Ana = Anorexia

Mia = Bulimia

EDNOS = Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (a classification for those with disordered eating habits that do not fit into a certain category)

SI/SH = self injury/self harm

DV = domestic violence

SU = suicide

r* = rape

primary = a survivor of rape or abuse

secondary = a supporter, loved one, or friend of a violence survivor

LGBT = Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender

BDSM = Bondage, Domination, Sadism, Masochism (a sexual practice some survivors identify with)

LOL = laughing out loud

IMO / IMHO = in my opinion / in my humble opinion

LMAO = laughing my ass off

PITA = pain in the ass

TMI= too much information

BRB = be right back

WB = welcome back

tc = take care

kwim = know what I mean

fwiw = for what it's worth

bbs = be back soon

jmo = just my opinion
