STILL struggling with PT

Posted by SilverandBlue , 23 December 2013 · 155 views

I thought I would be fine in PT now, especially after I asked her to give me some warning if she was going to be taping me somewhere other than my ankle or back. She taped my leg a couple of weeks ago, from mid thigh to my waist, over my hip. I did NOT like that one bit. I was terrified and shivery the whole time. I don't remember anything she said while she was taping, I completely left and didn't return until the end of the session.
Whyy? I can usually handle being touched now, except for males touching me, I still don't allow that at all. She usually works on my leg or back, and that I've learned to handle. But why do I still have to calm myself/settle before an appointment? I should be fine! and it's not like she is going to judge me or anything. We have a great relationship, and she understands and is nice about it, but I still freak at almost every appointment.
maybe I will listen to music while I'm there...

I was just going to say that you could listen to music, if that's possible. I struggled with pt after what happened to me 23 yrs ago.

Did it ever get better? It's not a problem with her, she's great. Just the fact that she's touching me. I don't even let my mom touch me
