I recently found out that what happened to me in college is called aggravated rape, which has no statute of limitations. When a rape includes more than one person, it's aggravated rape. I still can't say it out loud. I'm able to write it now, but not say it. Not even to my husband.

Speaking of my husband -- he had been really pushing for me to press charges, but I brought it up in my group therapy, and the advice was to contact the family (because I know how to) and tell them what happened, and let them decide the consequences. They may write and say they don't believe me, or that it never happened according to the perpetrators, but I think I can take that in stride. I know it happened, I know it's the truth, I know I said stop, I know they didn't listen.

I finally wrote down the whole event, but I'm not sure I'm ready to post it here yet.
