bargain...

Trigger warning for sexual content and for suicide talk. Please take gentle care of you.

So, I watched Monster earlier.

At the beginning of the movie, she talks about having $5.00, and about how she was going to kill herself just before she met Tyria Moore (Selby in the movie), but about how she was determined to spend the $5.00 and then she would be out of there, as in then she would kill herself. She would not let that $5.00 she made giving some guy a blowjob go with out it being spent, because then it would be like she'd done that bj for free. And she talks about that being a bargain she made with god, to wait until she'd spent that $5.00, and see what happened.

And I wondered. How many times have I made a similar bargain, relating to suicide, only not with any god. I don't think I can count the times I've made a bargain on my fingers and my toes combined. And that doesn't count the current bargain I have made.
