Hi Pixie,

My name is Anthony, I am a supporter and husband of a marital rape victim. She is under a very unjust child support order out of West Virginia. She is currently having to pay support to two sons aged 19 & 21. She is physically disabled from a job injury and a car accident. Her present job is very hard. We have been trying to find some legal help but to no avail. All we get is run-around when contacting West Va & Louisiana who is taking $300 a month out of her pay. Her hours were cut by 40 a month. I am a disabled former police lieutenant/coast guard officer.

We are going to have to try to go on food stamps to pay child support to a rapist. We are unable to effect repairs on our home post Katrina, have no heat or AC. She was punished by the so called "judge" in WVA for leaving a violent marriage of 18 years. She did'nt leave her kids as vulnerable babies. She had absoulutely no help from father, mother, sisters, the "system", etc...

I met her in West Va after I went there as a Katrina refugee, after running a Red Cross shelter here for 14 days. I brought her down several months later, we were married on Valentine's Day of '07. She is an angel, my reason for living! I want to make up for what happened to her ( she never even owned a dress or ever had her hair done - was never allowed to work, finish school or learn to drive ).

She is dealing with her emotional scars better than could be expected. I'll soon be taking her to a therapist (I had to use the "Shame" tactic to get a little help here. But, she feels she is still being raped by not only him, but by the so called "system" that did not protect or help her.

Do you know of any legal resources we might try? Nobody seems to want to help, or even care. Makes me ashamed I ever served the public & this country!

Thanks & God Bless & Happy Thanksgiving

Anthony
