Private Browsing

I was just wondering if anyone knew how private the private browsing thing on firefox/internet explorer is? I've been using it when my partners not here, but I suppose I'm just a bit paranoid he'll see what I've been looking at somehow.

Hi,

As far as I know, private browsing allows you to browse websites without keeping a history of the sites you've visited. In order to use Firefox browsing, you need to click on tools and select "start Private Browsing".

You might find it helpful to read this article which provides information on safety and privacy while browsing.
