If you go to Doctors Hospital, Laurel Regional, Bowie Health, Southern MD, they will not be able to offer you a rape kit. They will stabilize any injuries and transfer you to PG.
I am not positive on this, but i think this may be the same case in DC. I think Howard is the evidence collection center for the district, but i am not positive on this.
Be mindful if you contact Police or EMS after an assault because you may not end up at the hospital you think you are going to, or if you decide to not tell police/fire and wait to get to the hospital to let anyone know, you may have to be transfered.
I do want to add though that PG has a great sexual assault center. i highly recommend them if anyone ever is in a position where they require their services, i fully believe you are in good hands with them.
