Very informative. I was only diagnosed with PTSD 3 years ago - but have suffered it for years - unknowingly. It has returned. I have not had any formal therapy. I am not sure where to start with getting a therapist, but the last one I talked to on the phone deterred me with harsh words. I live in a rural area with NO services and have to travel from 55 to 150 miles for help. I am jobless and was wondering if there are programs to get help without cost?

You should have a local sexual assult mental health team. I was attending one, before she asked me to come back when I was ready to talk about it. You can also talk to your GP and get 6 free psyc appointments after having a mental health plan done. I hope this helps
