HM has been taking 4 or 5 steps alone for a long time, so on her pediatrician's recommendation, she got her first pair of walking shoes yesterday. They are real shoes, with laces and the hard soles that are supposed to help little ones find their balance and stability. They cost fifty dollars. Yes, you read that right. FIFTY DOLLARS! HM thinks they are very nice for crawling.
