2. T-Homework / What have you learned?

I've learned that

- it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it
- the most important thing in communication is to hear what isn't being said
- knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens
- when a defining moment comes along, you can do one of two things. Define the moment, or let the moment define you
- no one can go back and make a brand new start, however anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending
- there is a difference between knowing the path and walking it
- two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different
- even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help
- it is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye

I've learned that

- you can keep going long after you can't
- we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel
- either you control your attitude or it controls you
- sometimes the people you expect to help you get back up, will be the ones who kick you when you are down
- you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
- it requires wisdom to understand wisdom; the music is nothing if the audience is deaf

I've learned that

- no matter how good your friends are, they're going to hurt you every once in a while, and you must forgive them for that
- no matter how bad a heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief
- our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for whom we become
- sometimes when I get angry I have the right to be angry, but it doesn't give me the right to be cruel
- maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated

I've learned that

- your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.
- credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
- it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts
- the people you care about the most in life are taken from you too soon
- life's lessons never end and wisdom can always be passed on
