Well, I just got back from the Cottage, and yes, it was every bit as wonderful as I had hoped.
We did crafts, sang songs, swam, kayaked, I went to an incredible Swing band concert and generally had the best time possible and the food was fantastic!
My Little One's packing was pretty good, she only forgot her PJ's (by accident) and a hair brush (on purpose) but other than that she did a great job.
But now it is time to get back to reality. I came home from the trip to a message on the machine from the Detective working my case. Well its not that I am not glad to finally hear from him, it is just that I hated coming home to that. It was like having the pin stuck in the balloon.
He was calling to let me know the results of the meeting with the crown. On the up side the case is progressing well and they are still confident about their chances for a conviction. They still have a little investigating to do before they arrest him but we are getting closer every day. However on the down side is the fact that the crown doesn't think they will be able to get a publication ban and that means I will have to suffer the full media storm that this particular case may create. Which in my opinion, totally sucks!
