Pandora's Aquarium: From: This week on the red carpet. . . . - Pandora's Aquarium

First, I would like to add to my previous reply that I like vanilla ice cream when I eat fruit pies.

I would also like to travel to the maritimes and then follow my family's own trail of tears out west.

1) My past times include:

a) listening to music including world fusion; rock; rap; alternative; folk; and country

as well as movie soundtracks

b) shopping: I am a firm believer in Shopping Therapy - clothes, dvds, cds and items reflecting my interests

c) armchair world travel through music, books, cultural centers and the internet

d) writing poetry

e) exploring painting and pastels

f) making collages

g) attending mineral exhibits, exhibits at the art gallery, museum, and science center

h) attending cooking exhibits and classes

i) attending multicultural events

j) playing in different drumming groups

(I also play a mean harmonica)

k) researching my family history back before the middle ages. This has been an interest since age 12

l) researching and reading books on all of the above plus biographies and science fiction

I have my own extensive book collection enough for a small library

m) collecting dolls and teddy bears plus an assorted zoo of stuffed animals

n) I have stopped tennis, badminton and basketball due to injuries.

My doctor glares at me whenever I mention roller blading.

2) My happy places include a college auboritium, a municipal greenhouse, a waterpark,

the planeterium where I lie on the floor and watch the stars

the science center and the start of the dinosaur display at the museum

and my armchair travel adventures

3) My work experience has included being a research assistant and librarian, telemarketing,

water quality analysis, community services including board membership. My last placement was at

an university women center peer support program and being on its collective

for program and policy development. I have also worked at a college women center.

I have studied at both university and college. My areas of study include inter-disciplinary studies in

urban and environmental studies with a focus on government policy analysis; early childhood education;

community services with a focus on human rights. The native center is presently assisting me with

independent research in aborginal studies. I would one day like to finish my work on the role my family

ancestors played in European History. I have just started auditing 2 courses on the Internet.

4) I have my nephew - he is the only grandchild. When I was working with kids, I developed or assisted

with programs in computor literacy, creative arts, nature studies, skating, swimming, gymnastics,

floor hockey, basketball and open gym. My caseload covered 500 children a year with a focus on 30 kids

who I worked with on a daily basis.

5) My fave fast food place is any food court at a shopping center.

My selections will include

corn beef sandwiches, tabouli salad, shrimp, pizza, sub sandwiches, burgers, onion rings, chicken and rice

7 layer burrittoes, smoothies.


I am very fussy about fried potatoes - I will buy my burger at one vender and

then buy my french fries from another vendor.
