although circumstances unfortunately prevent me

from attending his service in person

please know that i am there in spirit

i send condolences to my hometown

from the grief groups,

my government representatives

both universities, colleges

the cancer society, the native center

my friends and their families


I would especially like to extend

my deepest and heartfelt appreciation

to his cancer society volunteer

for her devotion and commitment to my brother.

I meet her briefly in July 2006


My Brother and my nephew

He was a devoted godfather to our nephew

I have so many photos of the two of them together

My brother sent me the details of my nephew's birth.


There are so many photos of the my brother holding my nephew.

My fave is the one of him
carrying my nephew on his shoulders

on that day we took my nephew to the park
to play on the swings.

the connection between uncle and nephew
so clear in every photo.

MY BROTHER

My brother helped me move to the city where i now live

and that move had many humorous moments

I have memories of my brother's visits here

quite a few at a waterfront park

a place my brother would visit with my dad

dozens of photos capturing

moments of the special events

my brother coming here to visit me

or to take me to my hometown

and our private talks in his car


I have so many letters from my brother

alot from my university days

my brother would audit university classes

during his visits

and from when my brother visit me and my bf

my brother and boyfriend bonding

zinged by them both ! :o:/>

i am sharing with my friends

his sardonic wit and humour :xmasgrin:/>

(one observed that

she wondered was that where i got mine ???) :suspect:/>

my brother enjoyed so many comedians

and he had so many faves !

My brother would have been a terrific stand up comic

his impersonations of comic routines

razer sharp

his impersonations of politicians

(sp) catching their mannerisms

my brother would have been

an amazing political cartoonist

commenting on world affairs

I am looking at one that we drew together

my brother's letters were always filled with stories

about high school activities

especially the hijinx 0:)/>

later he would write about college

and news about the family

going to basketball games

or his commentaries on recent movies

capturing THE pivotal moments of the plot

Christmas was not complete

One aunt spent hours with my brother

inviting him into her home

including him in her life

and all of the photos of those visits

she did not exclude him from life

how this month

was a special month

for my brother

as a landmark birthday

was approaching






i had planned to speak with him


on his landmark birthday


to congratulate him


i speak to you instead


to honour him
