it is little wonder that rape is one of the least-reported crimes

perhaps it is the only crime in which the victim becomes the accused


and in reality,

it is she who must prove

her good reputation,


her mental soundness


and her impeccable propriety

my employment assistance program advised within weeks of the breakthrough flooding


(i had had earlier episodes), that my best treatment option would be in the states.



All of my real life supports wrote support letters.


The funding was denied (and if it had been approved, it would have been for a month only !)

I am finding the books more insightful than my counselling or "supports""

i find it strange to revisit books that claimed that i would recover

or reclaim my childhood

or reparent myself

are more validating than

the counsellor of the day

now if i can take my notes from all of these books

resort them

about assisting students who have been sexually assaulted


Would that make a difference ???

Death of a perp

he died in the home

in front of Mom

the aunts are told by mom to tell me nothing

I am told by one of my Lawyers

a month later

he had contacted my nephew's group home

and is told by them

I phone both aunts

the one avoids my phone calls

she was already terminally ill when I met her

she taught me about traditions from my heritage

her plans to help me ended when her cancer spread

she did introduce me to the staff at another centre

everyone from my class went to his furneral


there were rumours about the circumstances

around his death

the teachers behaved very stoic

I was shaking throughout his entire service


and later went to see my rapist
