Sorry I just really need to vent this out...
Last night at work I was told that my supervisor was looking for me. Ok, so I went that direction. Right before I got to her, my coworker came up and said "There you are!". Mind you, we're right in front of customers.
Her:"I want my sunglasses back." :huh:/>
Me:"I don't have your sunglasses..."
Her:"Yes you do! You stole them yesterday!"
Me:"Um, I didn't take anybody's sunglasses." :blink:/>
Her:"Well, you knocked them off my locker when you got your sweatshirt out of your locker, and you picked them up and put them in your pocket. It wasn't [another cashier] because I asked her, so it was you!"
Apparently there was some security footage that had a grainy image of the back of someone of my same height, with brown hair. And we all wear the same uniform colors. There are SO many people that I work with that fit that description.
Me:"Well do you want to see if my locker is close to yours?"
Her:"Yeah, lets go."
Me:"So, when did someone take your sunglasses?"
Her:"Yesterday at 4:30."
Me:"Oh, well I wasn't even here until 7:30..." :glare:/>
Her:"Well, we'll look at the tapes some more in a little bit to see if it was you."
Me:"I swear I would NEVER steal something from someone." :shy:/>
By then we were at the lockers in the back of the building.
Me:"So, where's you're locker?"
Her:"Right here..."
Me:"Well, my locker is way over here. It's not even on the same wall as yours." :confused:/>
Her:"Well, Whoever is in the locker above me stole my sunglasses."
We started walking back to where we worked. About half way there, I heard my supervisor. "What are you doing with my cashier?!" So, we stop to talk to her. She told our boss and she was there too.
Boss:"First of all, you NEVER accuse someone of stealing. That's not in your job description. That's MY job." :blink:/>
Her:"Ok. Sorry."
Boss:"You can't just go around an accusing people. We don't evev know who did it. I will take care of it if it comes to that. But you don't go after someone that you didn't even know did it."
Her:"Well, she didn't do it I guess. So, I need the names of the people in the lockers above mine."
Boss:"No, you have no right to go through anyone's locker, and I'm not telling you whose lockers those are! Let ME handle it."
Her:*sigh* "Ok." *smile* :gaah:/>
Boss:"Aren't you supposed to be at your post right now anyway??"
Her"Oh, no I was doing something else, but I'll go back up there."
I heard later that she was writing an email appologizing to the uppers and taking responsibility for doing wrong. But she's in the security department of our store, and that means one false acusation and you get fired. I kind of secretly wish she did get fired though. She did a lot more damage than her selfishness could see. She made me feel guilty, and I know I didn't do anything. You know how hard it is for me to let go of guilt? I was so upset from it that I was nauseous, and later I started crying. She never appologized to me, everyone else, but not ME. I was so messed up last night from it all, I couldn't think clearly. :(/>
Anyway, I hate her. It's not the first time she goes out of her way to be mean to people.
