the pain still lingers

i have travelled abroad and im very very far from home and from my loved ones, and it has been really hard without my friends and family. I think about how great i should be doing because i have been able to go away on my own this is a huge step for me for moving on, but it has been hard because despite how good ive been doing, i think about what M did to me every single day, and the pain still lingers, and what gets me is that from what i have seen of the world where i am is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in the world, how can the pain still linger when im in such a pure and beautiful place?

I am still going everyday with absolute amazing moments which is 90% of the day but i always remember, will this always happen when im somewhere beautiful. or will the pain ease?
