I've put alot of thought into this, and why being 302 into the psych ward actually did more damage to me than benefitted me. The entire stay there was trigger after trigger and nobody would listen to why I couldn't do this or that, nor let me explain I needed to calm down first before....getting in the shower; removing my clothes etc. So I made a comparison list of why it bothered me so much and what was so similar that upset me so much. It's absolutely ironic what I discovered.

It's actually disturbing how I've managed to link the two incidents together.

I AM A RAPE SURVIVOR
THEY TOOK MY CLOTHES
THEY VIOLATED ME
THEY TOOK MY RIGHTS
THE COUCH WAS COUNTRY BLUE
MY CAPTORS WERE CRUEL
I DIDN'T FEEL SAFE
FORCED TO EAT/DRINK
FORCE BATHED
EVERYONE WAS CONSPIRING
HELD IN AN EMPTY ROOM W/ A MATRESS
AN OFFICER WAS INVOLVED SOMEHOW (still a memory I'm processing)
SILENCE USED TO HURT ME
I WAS RESTRAINED
NOBODY WOULD LISTEN TO ME
CREATED TRIGGERS FOR LIFE

I AM A 302 SURVIVOR
THEY TOOK MY CLOTHES
THEY SEARCHED ME
THEY TOOK MY RIGHTS
THE FLOORS & FURNITURE WERE COUNTRY BLUE
MY CAPTORS WERE CRUEL
I DIDN'T FEEL SAFE
FORCED TO EAT/MEDICATE/SHOWER
FORCE BATHED
EVERYONE WAS CONSPIRING
HELD IN AN EMPTY ROOM WITH A MATRESS
SECURITY CAME IN - CAUSING A FLASHBACK
SILENCE USED UNTIL I BECAME ENRAGED
I WAS RESTRAINED
NOBODY WOULD LISTEN TO ME
TRIGGERED ME OVER AND OVER AND OVER

Wow. I read this again after some time has passed and I still feel that I was wrongfully 302'd and something's GOT to change in the psych system so that SA survivors don't get treated as though they are being victimized yet again.

It still infuriates me.
