Good things I remember and faith
I remember my Papaws country home. Out in the middle of nowhere. I remember the beautiful power of the strongest thunderstorms you have ever seen. I remember my heart would skip a beat, there had to be angels in those lightning bolts.
I remember my Grandfathers hands. They were so delicate. I remember his thin arms wrapped around me in the warmest hug you could ever hope to feel.
I remember thinking I must be the luckiest girl in the world to have grandparents like I had. I remember that I would tell myself I better appreciate them while I could, one day God would want His angels back. I remember thinking how sad that would be and then realizing if they were in heaven then I could share my angels with someone else who may need them.
I remember the purest form of love on the face of this earth coming from my grandparents. They taught me how I could give another that same kind of love and that is how I have always loved. With everything I ever had in me.
I remember wanting to fix the world. The entire world. This, I decided, would be my mission. And I remember the first time I saw each of my babies faces and crying because each time I knew they could fix the world too. I remember thinking I had finally accomplished it.
To learn, teach and share love is so precious. To have a tiny angel give love is amazing. My angels and loves fixed my world. That may be a tiny portion of the entire world but it is something.
I remember thinking that I no longer had to fix the entire world, for one person that is entirely too large a mission. I could just make sure I made someones world better. That may not be THE entire world, however it is SOMEONES entire world.
With a tiny bit of pure love, huge heap of of understanding and a lot of faith in our selves we can change the world...
