Monsters In The Military

Posted by SomebodyLoveMe , 21 July 2012 · 99 views

Well, I'm not trying to be a newscaster, but I find this one important too. Staff Sergeant Luis Walker was accused of sexually assaulting and abusing 10 female trainees at Lackland Air Force Base and yesterday he was found guilty of all 28 charges against him. I have the highest respect for the military since my brother joined the Air Force, but this diminishes it a little bit. When we went to my brother's Basic Training graduation, I saw this guy. Just another monster disguised as a normal person, disguised as a brave, noble, selfless person. Even our heroes are fucked up.

I have been following this story too. I read that only a small portion of the 19,000 sexually assaulted report the abuse. I find that very very scary. I felt some satisfaction that he got 20 years but I don't know if that is 20 years without parole or not.

I have a nephew in the Air Force. Blessings
