My first father's day without my father. I miss him.
I spent the day at my mother's. My nephew and family came for the weekend to pick cherries. Cherries are early due to the hotter weather coming early. Today it got up to 100 degrees. I did not want to go out but I made myself which was good cuz I enjoyed spending time with them.
My mother got a cortizone shot in her lower back Friday and today the pain is worse than what she was experiencing before she got the shot.
While I was getting to leave this morning I got a text from my daughter. It was brief.
HER: Where are u?
ME: At home.
HER: Sorry wrong person.
Another day of profound pain and loss.
May all the good fathers out there enjoy this day.
