Why do I still try with love? Every time I do, someone gets hurt, if not everyone.
Seem to poison the virtues love is upheld for. I am no flower, I am just thorns who lost their petals long long ago. The reasons you're still with me shock me, they don't sound like me at all. Maybe you're in love with some painting I made of myself one time I forgot to take down.
Well, I'll do it now. Face reality. I am not art, nor anything worth holding.
Let me go.

Rose, you are SO worth holding! I am sorry you were feeling this way when you wrote this and hope the feeing passes soon. You are a person of great worth. You are worthy of all the good things life has to give. Please don't feel down on yourself. The qualities that people love in you are there. That is real. That is the reality.
You are worth holding and holding on to. You may have flaws, but we all do. No one ever threw out a Jackson Pollock because it had a few cigarette ashes in it: it's one of the ways to know it's original. Like you.
BTW, I am not endorsing smoking here- it was cool back in Pollock's day.
Safe
