so i opened my birthday present from my brother

and all the missing birthday cards


my friend sang several different birthday songs

throughtout the day


it was good


it helped

and my friend followed through


on her entire plan

One of my fave activities is to join a group of friends at a local chinese restarant

and enjoy tea, food and conversation for the afternoon

there is a card and gift exchange as well

and buy myself gifts

Some years, I would invite a friend

Some years, friends would have a party for me

Some years, it was just me.

so i just got back from the dentist

my mouth is sore


I have not eaten much since yesterday


the weather outside is cooler


and my apartment is like a furnace

I went to one of my fave stores

the sales clerks known me by name

and my taste in clothes

they always encourage me to go
