Cherry Blossom
Where are You? - Wilson Phillips I'm all grown up But somehow, it feels like I'm pretending Visions of my younger years, they are buried But the scenes that play inside of me, are impending They are never ending... Where, where, where, where, where are you? You don't have to look out that window, anymore. You can just come back to yourself, you can come back to this world. Where are you? Tell me who heard you. And where are you? He led me into his room, and had me lay down My heart, and my soul, and anything else that you could own, When you're six years old. But now I'm older Such a quiet secret, it hurt too much trying hard to keep it. Oh, and I looked up to you... I wanted so much to believe in you. I wanted so much for you to believe it me. Oh I tried, I tried. Where, where, where, where, where are you? You don't have to look out anymore. I don't have to look out of that window anymore. I can just, come back to myself, I can come back this world Where are you? Tell me who heard you? And where are you now? Where are you? Where are you? Where are you? Where are you? Tell me who hurt you.
Guest
"the dream within" lyrics by Richard Rudolph Free the dream within the stars are crying a tear...a sigh escapes from Heaven ...and worlds end. Breathe the dream within the mystifying ...we tremble and spin suspended within... Look beyond where hearts can see dream in peace trust love...believe ...we tremble and spin suspended within... Free the dream within the voices calling a song...a prayer from deep inside you ...to guide you. Be the dream within the light is shining a flame on the wind salvation begins... Look beyond where hearts can see dream in peace trust love...believe ...we tremble and spin suspended within... Guest
Just after I was raped, I was moving back to NY from New Mex. I was in shock, my father and brother drove down within 24 hours afterwards and we loaded all of my things up in his truck and a uhaul trailer, My best friend decided she would drive up with me and we would follow them. I am not sure when it started but the Pretender's song, "I'll Stand By You". There is a line in it, "if your mad, get mad, I get angry to, ect..." I repepated this to myself the entire way. I actually couldn't recall what song it was from and knew it was a song but just those few lines helped me to trust her. I depended on her the enitire way. When we arrived at my parents house I told her may be for the second time the lyrics and asked if she knew the song, well she did and she had the CD and ever since then when I hear the song I remember laying in the car struggling to focus on anything and those words got me there. Absolutely everything by Beth Hart. She isn't so well known but she is a powerful woman and she has a little twist in her songs that gives you the ability to express anger, sadness, love, pride, fear, hurt and then leave you strong! Cherry Blossom
I've been listening to a lot of violent music lately. Mostly Tool (Jerk-off and Opiate) and some Korn. It helps me come to terms with my anger, which is great because I never felt like I was aloud to be angry about anything. Plus I've gotten hooked on Tori's "Waitress" song, just because it feels amazingly good to be able to scream "I believe in peace bitch" over and over again. Guest dizzy
This song has been very good for when I need a lift me up. Awesome song. It was originally sung by Rod Stewart but the newest version is by Russell Watson as the theme song for Star Trek: Enterprise. Title of it is Where My Heart Will Take Me. It´s been a long road, getting from there to here. It´s been a long time, but my time is finally near. And I can feel the change in the wind right now. Nothing´s in my way. And they´re not gonna hold me down no more, no they´re not gonna hold me down. Cause I´ve got faith of the heart. I´m going where my heart will take me. I´ve got faith to believe. I can do anything. I´ve got strength of the soul. And no one´s gonna bend or break me. I can reach any star. I´ve got faith, I´ve got faith, faith of the heart. It´s been a long night. Trying to find my way. Been through the darkness. Now I finally have my day. And I will see my dream come alive at last. I will touch the sky. And they´re not gonna hold me down no more, no they´re not gonna change my mind. Cause I´ve got faith of the heart. I´m going where my heart will take me. I´ve got faith to believe. I can do anything. I´ve got strength of the soul. And no one´s gonna bend or break me. I can reach any star. I´ve got faith, faith of the heart. I´ve known the wind so cold, and seen the darkest days. But now the winds I feel, are only winds of change. I´ve been through the fire and I´ve been through the rain. But I´ll be fine. Cause I´ve got faith of the heart. I´m going where my heart will take me. I´ve got faith to believe. I can do anything. I´ve got strength of the soul. And no one´s gonna bend or break me. I can reach any star. I´ve got faith. I´ve got faith of the heart. I´m going where my heart will take me. I´ve got strength of the soul. And no one´s gonna bend or break me. I can reach any star. I´ve got faith, I´ve got faith, faith of the heart. It´s been a long road.

Francesca
Extremely extremely ****T**** Please please please be careful. CSA.... CONCRETE ANGEL She walks to school with the lunch She packed Nobody knows what she's Holdin' back Wearin' the same dress She wore yesterday She hides the bruises with linen And lace. The teacher wonders but she Doesn't ask It's hard to see the pain Behind the mask Bearing the burden Of a secret storm Sometimes she wishes she was Never born. Through the wind and the rain She stands hard as stone In a world that she can't rise above But her dreams give her wings And she flies to a place where She's loved Concrete Angel. Somebody cries in the middle Of the night The neighbors hear, but they turn Out the lights A fragile soul caught in the hands Of fate When morning comes It'll be too late. Through the wind and the rain She stands hard as stone In a world that she can't rise above But her dreams give her wings And she flies to a place where She's loved Concrete Angel. A statue stands in a shaded place An Angel girl with an upturned face A name is written on a polished rock A broken heart that the world forgot. Through the wind and the rain She stands hard as stone In a world that she can't rise above But her dreams give her wings And she flies to a place where She's loved Concrete Angel. NotYetHealed
((((Francesca)))) That was so ironic, hun. I was just coming here (with some hesitation) to post the link for the video for this song. Martina is my all-time favorite ~ she sings these extraordinarily strong songs that speak to real issues. And speaking of angels, her voice is nothing short of angelic. I just saw her for the like the seventh time about three weeks ago with Kaitlyn. Anyway, if anyone would like to see the video (please make sure you have Kleenex handy) the link is http://www.cmt.com It is in the listen/view section, I believe. So very sad - but hopefully it will bring more awareness to this extremely important issue. Love, Lisa
Gabriel
Everyday by Bon Jovi I used to be the kind of guy Who'd never let you look inside I'd smile when I was crying I had nothing but a life to loose Thought I had a lot to proof In my life, there's no denying Goodbye to all my yesterdays Goodbye, so long, I'm on my way I've had enough of cryin' Bleedin', sweatin', dyin' Hear me when I say Gonna live my life everyday I'm gonna touch the sky And I spread these wings and fly I ain't here to play I'm gonna live my life everyday Strange, everybody's feeling strange Never gonna be the same Makes you wonder how the world keeps turning Life, learning how to live my life Learning how to pick my fights Take my shots while I'm still burning Goodbye to all those rainy nights Goodbye, so long, I'm moving on I've had enough of cryin' Bleedin', sweatin', dyin' Hear me when I say Gonna live my life everyday I'm gonna touch the sky And I spread these wings and fly I ain't here to play I'm gonna live my life everyday There ain't nothing gonna get in my way Everyday Goodbye, so long, I'm moving on I've had enough of cryin' Bleedin', sweatin', dyin' Hear me when I say Gonna live my life everyday I'm gonna touch the sky And I spread these wings and fly I ain't here to play I'm gonna live my life everyday I, oh I, oh I, I'm gonna live my life everyday I (gonna touch the sky), oh I (spread these wings and fly), oh I I'm gonna live my life everyday

Francesca
**T** touches a tiny bit on religion at one point. Something Worth Leaving Behind by Lee Ann Womack. Hey Mona Lisa, who was Leonardo? Was he Andy Warhol? You were Marilyn Monroe Hey Mozart, what kind of name is Amadeus It's kinda like Elvis You gotta die to be famous I may not go down in history I just want someone to remember me I'll probably never hold a brush that paints a masterpeice Probably never find a pen that writes a symphony But if I will love then I will find That I have touched another life And that's something Something worth leaving behind Hey Midas you say you have the magic touch That even all that shiny stuff Someday is gonna turn to dust Hey Jesus it must have been some Sunday morning In a blaze of glory We're still tellin' your story I may not go down in history I just want someone to remember me I'll probably never dream a dream and watch it turn to gold No, I'll never lose my life to save another soul If I will love then I will find That I have touched another life And that's something Something worth leaving behind Hey baby see the future that we´re building Our love lives on in the lives of our children And that´s something Something worth leaving behind *************** I don't have a link for you to download this really. But if you go to http://www.leeannwomack.com/ and then click the link to music, then the second album with the same title as the song you should get a screen where you can listen to the different songs. I don't know if you'll get the whole song, but you'll get to hear some of it. This song means so much to me. Especially now. I've felt so worthless for so long and because of all of you here....I just feel like I AM touching someone's life. Thanks. Francesca
Yeah....Another one.... Hero by Mariah Carey There's a hero If you look inside your heart You don't have to be afraid Of what you are There's an answer If you reach into your soul And the sorrow that you know Will melt away And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on And you cast your fears aside And you know you can survive So when you feel like hope is gone Look inside you and be strong And you'll finally see the truth That a hero lies in you It's a long road When you face the world alone No one reaches out a hand For you to hold You can find love If you search within yourself And the emptiness you felt Will disappear And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on And you cast your fears aside And you know you can survive So when you feel like hope is gone Look inside you and be strong And you'll finally see the truth That a hero lies in you Lord knows Dreams are hard to follow But don't let anyone Tear them away Hold on There will be tomorrow In time You'll find the way And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on And you cast your fears aside And you know you can survive So when you feel like hope is gone Look inside you and be strong And you'll finally see the truth That a hero lies in you ************************ Next one is very very triggering if you've ever lost a child or a sibling or well...really anyone. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! It's just that I mourn for the child that I once was so songs like this...well they mean a lot to me. Fly by Celine Dion * * * * T * * * * Fly, fly little wing Fly beyond imagining The softest cloud, the whitest dove Upon the wind of heaven's love Past the planets and the stars Leave this lonely world of ours Escape the sorrow and the pain And fly again Fly, fly precious one Your endless journey has begun Take your gentle happiness Far too beautiful for this Cross over to the other shore There is peace forevermore But hold this mem'ry bittersweet Until we meet Fly, fly do not fear Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear Your heart is pure, your soul is free Be on your way, don't wait for me Above the universe you'll climb On beyond the hands of time The moon will rise, the sun will set But I won't forget Fly, fly little wing Fly where only angels sing Fly away, the time is right Go now, find the light (Edited by Francesca at 2:21 am on Jan. 7, 2003)
Melanie
I love this song it helps so much when im feeling down. Green Day "Hold On" As I stepped to the edge Beyond the shadow of a doubt Withe my conscienece beating Like the puls of a drum That hammers on and on Until I reach the break of the day As the sun beats down The halfway house Has my conscience beating The sound in my ear The will tomperserve As I reach the break of the day When you lost all hope and excuses And the cheapstakes & losers Nothing's left to cling onto You got to hold on yourself A cry of hope A plea for peace And my conscience beating It's not what I want for It's all that I need To reach the break of the Day So I run to the edge Beyond the shadowas of a doubt With my conscience bleeding Here lies the truth The lost treasures of my youth As I hold on to the break of the day When you lost all hope and excuses And the cheapstakes & losers Nothing's left to cling onto You got to hold on yourself When you lost all hope and excuses And the cheapstakes & losers Nothing's left to cling onto You got to hold on yourself
Guest
When it is all too much I put on the following "Hunters and Collectors" song v. loud and belt it out. I especially like the part about holding your head high and not losing the desire for life and love... "Suit your Style" I've seen you flying, I've seen you fall When it comes to you girl, I've seen it all. I've heard you cryin' like a little child When I couldn't comfort you Or make you smile Sometimes I get the feeling You forget that I'm a friend I just wish that you'd remember We wouldn't have to go through this again So hold your head a little higher I wanna see the fire in your eyes I don't believe that you've lost your desire That ball and chain It doesn't suit your style It don't suit your style I know it's dark now You think you're trapped There's no way forward and no way back You say this breaking will never mend The way you're feeling now will never end They say the darkest hour Is right before the dawn You know who your friends are They're right in front of you Still hanging on So hold your head a little higher I wanna see the fire in your eyes I don't believe that you've lost your desire That ball and chain It doesn't suit your style It don't suit your style ----------------------------------------------------------- Softly, gently, joyfully, Alli

Guest Amy
This may already be on the post, but I don't have time to swim through ten pages before I share it. It's Never Again by Nickelback -- an extremely enraged and powerful shout against spouse abuse. Be careful because it could trigger for partner violence and for violence in general. NEVER AGAIN He's drunk again It's time to fight She must have done Something wrong tonight The living room Becomes a boxing ring It's time to run When you see him Clenching his hands She's just a woman Never again I hear her scream From down the hall Amazing she can Even talk at all She cries to me Go back to bed I'm terrified that She'll wind up Dead in his hands She's just a woman Never again Been there before But not like this Seen it before But not like this Never before Have I ever Seen it this bad She's just a woman Never again Just tell the nurse You slipped and fell It starts to sting As it starts to swell She looks at you She wants the truth It's right out there In the waiting room With those hands Lookin' just As sweet as he can Never again Seen it before But not like this Been there before But not like this Never before Have I ever Seen it this bad She's just a woman Never again Father's a name You haven't earned yet You're just a child With a temper Haven't you heard "Don't hit a lady"? Kickin' your ass Would be a pleasure He's drunk again It's time to fight Same old shit Just on a different night She grabs the gun She's had enough Tonight she'll find out How fucking Tough is this man Pulls the trigger Just as fast as she can Never again Seen it before But not like this Been there before But not like this Never before Have I ever Seen it this bad She's just a woman Never again This song rocks -- if you're angry, it can help you release. Take care, Amy

Guest
May *T* for religion. This song "When I Am Weak" is an original song written by a few of the pastors from my church (Calvary Chapel Bangor) Its been a great source of strength and inspiration. When I Am Weak "Time keeps passing by, there ain't nothing I can do. I'd really like to change somethings I've been going through. I'd been feeling battled by the world I'm living in. I've been feeling down and I feel like giving in. Lord, I'm trying hard to keep my trust in You, cuz You've never let me down. You've always pulled me through. So Lord be patient with me one more time cuz I know the sun is shining on the other side. Lord sometimes it feels like You've hidden your face from me and I feel like I can't go on. But you said that You'd never leave nor forsake me and its when I am weak that I am strong. Lord I'm so prone to run on ahead and I forget everything that You've ever said. That You care for the sparrow when it falls from the sky. There ain't nothing in this world that ever escapes Your eyes. And when my heart is aching and it seems that its the end, Your love is still the same and You are still my friend. And though I cannot see you, still I will believe and though I cannot touch You, I know You're there for me. Lord sometimes it feels like You've hidden your face from me and I feel like I can't go on. But You said that You'd never leave nor forsake me and its when I am weak that I am strong. And when my heart is aching and it seems that its the end, your love is still the same and You are still my friend. And though I cannot see You, still I will believe and though I cannot touch You I know You're there for me. Lord sometimes it feels like You've hidden your face from me and I feel like I can't go on. Guest
Thus the reason it's quoted in my sig... Sarah McLachlan-<i>"Elsewhere"</i> I love the time and in between the calm inside me in the space where I can breathe I believe there is a distance I have wandered to touch upon the years of reaching out and reaching in holding out holding in I believe this is heaven to no one else but me and I'll defend it as long as I can be left here to linger in silence if I choose to would you try to understand I know this love is passing time passing through like liquid I am drunk in my desire... but I love the way you smile at me I love the way your hands reach out and hold me near... I believe... I believe this is heaven to no one else but me and I'll defend it as long as I can be left here to linger in silence if I choose to would you try to understand Oh the quiet child awaits the day when she can break free the mold that clings like desperation Mother can't you see I've got to live my life the way I feel is right for me might not be right for you but it's right for me... I believe... I believe this is heaven to no one else but me and I'll defend it as long as I can be left here to linger in silence if I choose to would you try to understand it I would like to linger here in silence if I choose to would you understand it would you try to understand... ~rox (Edited by cera at 10:00 pm on Jan. 27, 2003)
Eye of the Tiger
Bit of a weird sarcastic message, but totally cool song. After all you put me through You'd think I'd despise you But in the end I wanna thank you... Cos you made me that much stronger Well I, thought I knew you Thinking, that you were true I guess I, I couldn't trust Called your bluff, time is up 'Cause I've had enough You were, there by my side Always, down for the ride But your, joy ride just came down in flames 'Cause your greed sold me out in shame, After all of the stealing and cheating You probably think that I hold resentment for you But, uh uh, oh no, you're wrong 'Cause if it wasn't for all that you tried to do I wouldn't know just how capable I am to pull through So I wanna say thank you! 'Cause it makes me that much stronger Makes me work a little bit harder It makes me that much wiser So thanks for making me a fighter Made me learn a little bit faster Made my skin a little bit thicker Makes me that much smarter So thanks for making me a fighter Never, saw it coming All of, your backstabbing Just so, you could cash in On a good thing before I realized your game I heard, you're going around Playing, the victim now But don't, even begin Feeling I'm the one to blame 'Cause you dug your own grave! After all of the fights and the lies Yes you wanted to haunt me but that won't work anymore Uh, no more, oh no, it's over 'Cause if it wasn't for all of your torture I wouldn't know how To be this way now And never back down So I wanna say thank you! Repeat chorus How could this man I thought I knew Turn out to be unjust so cruel Could only see the good in you Pretending not to see the truth You tried to hide your lies Disguise yourself through living in denial But in the end you'll see... YOU WON'T STOP ME! I am a fighter! I ain't gonna stop! There is no turning back I've had enough!
Francesca
The other night I got nervous because I thought there was this car following me. All I could think was that he had found me again. So I'm getting ready to have a full blown panic attack and this song came on the radio. The panic attack subsided as I nervously listened to the fast paced catchy song. Soon I was singing loud and bouncing around, the panic attack temporarily held at bay by a silly song that made me find humor or something like it in my terrifying situation. So here it is.... Up!: Shania Twain. Written by Mutt Lange and Shania Twain. ( © Loon Echo Inc / Universal Songs Of Polygram Inc.) From "Up", © 2002, Mercury, Nashville. It's 'bout as bad as it could be. Seems everybody's buggin' me. Like nothing wants to go my way, Yeah, it just ain't been my day, Nothin's comin' easily. Even my skin is acting weird. I wish that I could grow a beard. Then I could cover up my spots, Not play connect the dots. I just wanna disappear. Up, up, up; can only go up from here. Up, up; up where the clouds gonna clear. Up, up; there's no way but up from here. Even something as simple as, Forgettin' to fill up on gas. There ain't no explanation why. Things like that can make you cry. Just gotta learn to have a laugh. Oh, oh and up, up, up; can only go up from here. Up, up; up where the clouds gonna clear. Up, up; there's no way but up from here. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. When everything is goin' wrong, Don't worry, it won't last for long. Yeah, it's all gonna come around, Don't go let it get you down, You gotta keep on holding on. It's 'bout as bad as it could be. Seems everybody's buggin' me. Like nothing wants to go my way, Yeah, it just ain't been my day, Nothin's comin' easily. Oh, oh oh, oh oh. And up, up, up; can only go up from here. Up, up; up where the clouds gonna clear. Up, up; there's no way but up from here. Up, up, up. Oh, I'm going up. Oh, I'm going up. Oh, I'm going up, up, up, I'm going up. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Guest
Here's another song that really helps me, not to mention it reminds me of my brother...I miss him a lot but I remember all the times we'd "dance" to this song when I'm home or blare it when I'm driving(more like jump up and down and act all crazy) Its "Alive" by P.O.D. Alive Everyday is a new day I’m thankful for every breath I take I won’t take it for granted So I learn from my mistakes It’s beyond my control, sometimes it’s best to let go Whatever happens in this lifetime So I trust in love You have given me peace of mind chorus: I feel so alive for the very first time I can’t deny you I feel so alive I feel so alive for the very first time And I think I can fly Sunshine upon my face A new song for me to sing Tell the world how I feel inside Even though it might cost me everything Now that I know this, so beyond, I can’t hold this I can never turn my back away Now that I’ve seen you I can never look away I feel so alive for the very first time I can’t deny you I feel so alive I feel so alive for the very first time And I think I can fly bridge: Now that I know you (I could never turn my back away) Now that I see you (I could never look away) Now that I know you (I could never turn my back away) Now that I see you (I believe no matter what they say) I feel so alive for the very first time I can’t deny you I feel so alive I feel so alive for the very first time And I think I can fly I feel so alive for the very first time I can’t deny you I feel so alive I feel so alive for the very first time And I think I can fly
Cira
(((((Amy))))))Thanks for saving me some typing. "Never Again" was one I was going to share. It's one of my favorites. Here's the other one I wanted to share w/ all of you. It's an untitled hidden track from the new 3 Doors Down CD, "Away From the Sun". If you're interested in listening, you may find it online titled as "This Time". Also, I'll freely send it to anyone who wishes to provide me with an email address. I simply love sharing this song with people! So here it is. (*(*(Lisa)*)*) Darling, this is for you. Unsure of yourself, You stand all righted and now, We sure will lead you there Last time you fell, and you hit hard Your wounds have healed by now, But you still see your scars, yeah But it's not the way it used to be right now You've come so far to just let this go, my friend Don't go out the same way you did the last time You'll break when you fall, Don't make the same mistakes you did all over You've got to believe in yourself this time. Live on, live it up today This life's your cup So drink it up I say, yeah Say it's mine so give it all up to me now And walk that line Don't let this go my friend. Don't go out the same way you did the last time You'll break when you fall Don't make the same mistakes you did all over You've got to believe in yourself, this time This time Life's your cup, life's your cup Drink it up Life's your cup, life's your cup The same way you did the last time You'll break when you fall Don't make the same mistakes you did all over You've got to believe in yourself, this time The same way you did the last time You'll break when you fall Don't make the same mistakes you did all over You've got to believe in yourself this time. **Just a side note, guys, for those of you who may listen to this song. I'm not sure those lyrics in the first couple of lines are correct, but they're what I got off of a webiste I found, & they are close, at least. Feel free to update or correct them!
