My name is Louise. I am a survivor of domestic violence, which included repeated sexual assault and rape.
I am also the coauthor of the book Real Rape Real Pain: Help for Women Sexually assaulted by male partners. I created this site both as a survivor and activist. Rape by intimate partners is often not seen as "real" rape, and survivors often have difficulty finding validation. This site aims to give you support and shatter myths .If you are a survivor of marital/partner rape in the past, or are facing it now, please know that you are definitely not alone.
